This was shot during a Dear Serge event at the De La Warr Pavilion. It’s a stretch to tag this with ‘automata’ but the sounds were made by little machines.

Dear Serge was a weird and wonderful, free event which ran every couple of months on a Saturday for a couple of years and sadly stopped in 2015. Generally, it was a mix of avant-garde music, or music and performance. You can see lots of old performances on the Pavilion’s Vimeo Channel.
