"The Missing Voice" is an audio tour by Janet Cardiff. These 24 images were shot before, during and after completing the tour and are a response to both the tour and to Jawed Ashraf's images, which were shot while listening to and following the same soundtrack, a few days previous to me.

The tour takes place around Whitechapel in London and I highly recommend it. You can go to the library to borrow a CD Walkman. Update: the library have stopped providing the tour. If you can get a copy of the book (affiliate link), it has a CD with it. Update 2: the library has closed (taken over by the Whitechapel gallery extension) so even with a copy of the audio you'd have to miss the opening part of the walk as it starts inside the library.
